Legacy Fund

GO!Durban legacy fund focuses on youth development

The GO!Durban Legacy Fund and Programme, has been created out of financial contributions made though our Radical Economic Transformation Specification (GRETS) on contracts. GRETS requires that a certain amount of the contract must be channeled back into social investment and skills development for (but not exclusive to) young people living around GO!Durban’s main routes.

This Legacy Fund has as its objective to foster youth through:

1. Development and empowerment

2. Creativity

3. Nation building

4. Social cohesion


The Legacy Programme supports talent in sport, recognises creative arts, academic achievements, and supports entrepreneurial initiatives in communities aimed at youth development. This Fund will support youth in Sport, Arts and Academics and Entrepreneurial Business Development via the Legacy Fund Board – responsible for the administration, management and compliance monitoring.
