GO!Durban’s Skills Development initiative focuses on training and upskilling local talent to support the transport network. As of May 2025, programs include training for bus drivers, maintenance technicians, and customer service staff, ensuring high operational standards. Partnerships with local institutions provide certifications in transport management and smart technology operations, preparing youth for careers in the sector.
The program also offers workshops for community members, teaching skills like bicycle maintenance and road safety, often in collaboration with Cycle Academy. Future expansions will include advanced training in ITS and leadership development for transport managers.
