Universal Accessibility

Ensuring inclusive travel for all residents of Durban.

Universal Accessibility Features

GO!Durban’s Universal Accessibility program, as of 04:10 PM SAST on May 19, 2025, ensures that transport services are accessible to all, including people with disabilities. Stations and buses feature ramps, low-floor designs, and tactile paving for visually impaired users. Audio announcements and braille signage assist those with hearing or visual impairments, while priority seating is available for elderly and disabled commuters.

Training for staff includes disability awareness, and partnerships with local organizations support ongoing improvements. Future plans include expanding accessible cycling routes and introducing assistive technology like real-time sign language apps.
