Go Durban

Travel Safety

Image Description

Stay safe by understanding a few new road safety rules.

Obeying the existing rules of the road will keep you safe around the GO!Durban service, but there are also new road markings and traffic signals which all road users will need to follow.

All motorists are required to strictly follow the rules of the road. Never obstruct the bus lanes for your safety and others. The buses keep to tight schedules and travel fas.

Road Markings

Be aware of the road markings around the dedicated bus lanes and at station intersections. They will clearly show you where to be while you drive. If you see a big arrow on the road going straight, you must keep driving in that direction. If a curved arrow to the right joins the straight arrow, you may turn in the direction of the curved arrow. All dedicated bus lanes are marked with red lines. If you see red markings on the road it means only buses can drive in that lane.
